The Sea

The Sea

I cry for those that I once was young
and beautiful eyes bright with dreams
to take away the tears wasted on
unfortunate things

Walking timidly down hallways
Glossy lipped facades hanging at the mall all day
Give me your sorrows give me tears
I’ve learned to live with them over the years
No attempt at dry eyes will satisfy me
So we salt the ground and we salt the sea

These are disaster these are love secret
rivers stream from their pretty eyes
so its no wonder why young and
beautiful let out loud crys

Walking timidly down hallways
Glossy lipped facades hanging at the mall all day
Give me your sorrows give me tears
I’ve learned to live with them over the years
No attempt at dry eyes will satisfy me
So we salt the ground and we salt the sea

Daily in secret they carry this weight
too often no one notices before its too late
so if they’re crying for attention don’t make them wait
Wish I could take you tears away
for just one day throw them all away
open up your eyes and wash your pretty face
just wash it all away

Walking timidly down hallways
Glossy lipped facades hanging at the mall all day
Give me your sorrows give me tears
I’ve learned to live with them over the years
No attempt at dry eyes will satisfy me
So we salt the ground and we salt the sea
We salt the ground and we salt the sea
Hanging at the mall all day
